There is a lot of gold in this watch, and by that, we mean full gold everything from the dial, the case, the bezel, all the way to the bracelet.
The overall uniform grained and sandblasted finish on this watch is nothing like anything we’ve seen before. The case itself is a technical marvel inspired by Roman and Italian renaissance architecture, featuring a combination of steps and slopes, and multiple facts, all integrated into the incredibly slim profile.
This magnificent timepiece measures 40mm in diameter and is just 5.5mm thick, making it suitable for almost all wrists, and will gracefully slide under the cuff. The sapphire crystal sits flush with the case.
It is a time-only piece of art, with all the markings on the dial in glossy black, including the skeleton dauphine hands, enhancing the beauty of the gold dial.
The beauty of this watch doesn’t end at the visible aesthetic alone, but continues under the hood too.
The movement is as marvelous as the watch itself. It is the Bulgari in-house Caliber BVL 138 which is only 2.23mm thick and features a micro rotor, offering a 60-hr power reserve. The movement is entirely hand-finished with Geneva stripes, micro perlage under the rotor, soft anglage on the edges and black-polished screws.
The bracelet is an extension of the slim profile of the watch, measuring just 2.2mm in thickness and has a beautiful taper as it narrows down towards the double-deployant clasp.
